On July 28, 2016, Indonesia’s House of Representatives passed a new Patent Law (No. 13/2016), which formally entered into law 30 days later on August 28, 2016. The new Patent Law contains many changes as to how inventions will be examined, enforced, and otherwise protected in Indonesia.
JJP foreign IP consultant Andrew Diamond wrote an article highlighting many of these key changes in an article for The Patent Lawyers’ Asian Patent Lawyer’s Annual. An online version of the article can be found here.
